If you are looking for a new marketing channel to help you sign up a lot of new subscribers you need to be using the TIKTOK Creator Marketplace.
We started testing this in BusterBox a couple of months ago and we have been blown away by the results…
You can literally hire creators and influencers with hundreds of thousands of followers for a fraction of the price it costs on any other platform.
We even managed to hire somebody with over a million followers for just £200….
Anybody who has been running a while and has experience with influencers knows these prices are pretty much unheard of.
If you tried to hire somebody with a similar following on YouTube you would usually be directed to the agent and then quoted a fee of £20.000. (I know because it has happened to us many times)
Organic reach is still really high on TikTok. So if you pick the right influencer and they make the right kind of content the video can spread like wildfire and you will get a lot of subscribers from it.
If you don’t know what the TIKTOK Creator Marketplace is let me explain.
The TikTok creator marketplace is an official collaboration platform to connect brands and creators on TikTok. With TikTok Creator Marketplace, creators can collaborate with brands on both paid and reward-based campaigns.
To put it in its simplest terms you hire somebody through the platform, send them a box and tell them what kind of video you would like. They then post it on their account and you get sales from it.
The great thing about it as well is the fact payment is handled through the marketplace and nobody gets paid until you approve the video they send over. The takes away a lot of the risk you get when dealing with influencers on other platforms (E.G no videos appearing or poor quality)
The other great thing about this is you are getting lots of videos which you can then use in your paid ad campaigns. When running paid traffic on TIKTOK you burn through creative very quickly so this is a great way to help you keep producing more.
Also, something to bear in mind is if you are running traffic on Facebook or Instagram you can use those videos for those ads as well. The TikTok style creative is working really well on both of those platforms at the minute.
How To Hire The Perfect Influencers
1. Head over to the marketplace and make an account. You will need to submit some documents before you can hire anybody. Once you have been approved you will get access to all of the creators (It took us a few days to be approved)
2. You can now set up your first campaign.You fill in some information about your business and what is the purpose of the campaign – Our purpose is always to drive sales not brand awareness.
3. You can now invite influencers to take part in the campaign. The great thing about this is you can filter by location, gender, followers, views and interests. So you will be able to find the perfect influencers to promote your box. You then need to negotiate a price with them and hire them. – my advice is don’t spend a lot at the start but try to hire at least 5 of them to give your box a good push. Then you can coordinate them to release the videos all the same week.
4. Make sure you have a campaign brief to send them and some example videos if possible – This is very important, make sure you have a campaign brief that you can share with anybody you hire. This should be a written document which outlines how you want the video to look (Video angles, product information, CTA, offer etc) Then once you have some winning videos you can download them and share them with other influencers going forward as an example to follow.
5. Send out the boxes – The next step is pretty straightforward. You ship them the box and make sure you include whatever offer you are going with.
6. They submit the video and you approve it – Once you approve the video they will automatically be paid and it will then be published on their account.
7. You get an influx of new traffic and new subscribers – If you do everything correctly and your influencers are reaching the right audience. You will then start to see an influx of traffic and new sign-ups.
(This is the same as any other kind of marketing, if your site doesn’t convert or you don’t have a winning offer don’t expect miracles. I would focus on getting those things right before hiring loads of influencers to promote something that doesn’t sell that well)
8. You can then turn their video into a spark ad – This really is amazing because you can turn their video into something called a spark ad and run it directly from the influencer’s account. I will cover spark ads in more detail in my next post but they are a game changer.
